Kin, a type of millet, is considered kitniyot (legumes and certain grains) which Ashkenazi Jews traditionally do not eat during Passover. While some Sephardic communities may permit kitniyot, the general consensus is that kin is not kosher for Passover.
What is Kosher for Passover?
Foods that are kosher for Passover are foods that do not contain chametz or chametz residues.
What is Chametz?
Chametz is any food containing one of the five grains (wheat, barley, rye, oats, spelt) that has leavened.
