Cereal
Not Kosher for Passover
Not kosher.
Cereal itself is not inherently kosher for Passover because most cereals contain grains like wheat, oats, barley, or rye, which are chametz (leavened) and forbidden during Passover unless they are specifically processed to be kosher for Passover. Additionally, many cereals contain kitniyot (legumes) or other ingredients that some Jewish communities also avoid during Passover.
What is Kosher for Passover?
Foods that are kosher for Passover are foods that do not contain chametz or chametz residues.
What is Chametz?
Chametz is any food containing one of the five grains (wheat, barley, rye, oats, spelt) that has leavened.
